Elena is a young professional in Public Affairs, with a background in policy analysis, political communication and public diplomacy. She worked for three years as a Political Communication and Press Officer at the Embassy of Mexico in Romania and as Director of Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Labor and Social Protection of Romania, coordinating the European Affairs and Public Policy departments. Previously, she worked for a due diligence company, drafting risk and compliance assessments for key financial institutions, corporations and government agencies from the Americas. She has also a broad experience in digital communication and community management, strengthened during her collaboration with Atlantic Forum, a think tank of alumni of young leaders programs supported by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division.
Elena has a BA in International Relations and European Studies and a Professional Master in International Public Affairs from the University of Bucharest. She has also graduated from the European Academy of Diplomacy of Poland, obtaining an Executive Degree in Diplomacy and International Security. In 2012 and 2013, Elena was awarded a fellowship by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain and the Ibero-American General Secretariat, through which she participated in education and culture projects in different countries across Latin America and Europe. Currently, she is pursuing a Law degree at the University of Bucharest, with focus on public administration and international law.
